Used V4 and the winch to drag some logs Saturday. A day of manual labor is good for the soul!

Looks like the really clean low mileage B190 I was eyeballing on craigslist in CO. The ad had an old lady sitting in a chair under the awning drinking what appeared to be a Busch Light. Was a nice looking rig.

Sounds like we need to hang out with that lady.

V7 is getting fresh new wheels from Fuel Offroad as well as a pre winter clean/paint and some brake pads! 45k miles on the SSBC pads and that includes a whole lot of test drives where I try to put people thru the windshield. Too bad SSBC is gone!

Chapo is moving far far away across the pacific so it's here for a fairly major upgrade. This coil setup is going up another 2" (he said "I should have listened to you") and getting a relocated trac bar / crossover steering to make it steer/handle/drive better. I scrounged up enough coil kit fix it parts to make it happen. We're also adding full 6" rear springs, a winch, 35" AT2s and some roof rack cross bars.

Here's a video from when it was still on the flatbed, I did post pics during the trailer build here and on our social media pages/etc.

A few things have changed since I made this video besides the flatbed to trailer move

Since we got the new press brake we've been re tooling most of our product line and tweaking parts to make them simpler to build. That has been going well and we've finally found a bit of time to start developing new stuff! 1st up are some side steps. They match the design of our FB002/003 front bumpers and bolt to the pinch weld & body. We made some HD mounts to avoid flex and make them strong enough for the big boys to use. Small production run will happen next week as we dial in the jig so we're taking orders. $895 plus freight for the pair. These will be pulled next week and sent out for powder.

We did this van 2? years ago for a local customer. It's about to be shipped across the pacific so it came in for some improvements. He has complained about the steering feel since the beginning so I talked him into going up another 2" on the coil conversion and updating it to x-over steering with a relocated trac bar. It's my belief that the drag link/trac bar angle was too steep and the non forgiving radius arms don't allow the axle to move in an arc (the way it has to with the angle of the trac bar) so this is what causes the bump steer and overall vague steering feel. In some cases, death wobble. I went thru all of this before when I made the coil updates, not looking for another S show debate :) A flatter drag link and trac bar is always better, I've already proved it even though some don't want to listen. :) The others we converted to this steering are still 100% happy after many many miles and are glad they did it. We don't have any more parts to do this again.

We also wrapped up the updates to the @Burlydirtyhippy box van this week. OBA, new rear springs, overload airbags with in cab control, new t-case with a flange instead of a slip yoke, rear CV shaft along with a general ck up before it heads south for a few months. Every time we see this camper we all want one! So cool.
