UJOR Build Thread

I think there is some good info on this type of set up here in the forums, it's just not seen much in a "van". This is a great way to keep a hard side camper from getting "tweaked" during suspension articulation.

Here are several pages of discusion:

And this guy has one he!! of a build. This is his thread here on ExPo, but there is a link to his own page with more pics and some cool design elements.

Busy week (actually 2) here! We took a break on the V4 bed and started the EGR cooler delete on MegAmbo Wednesday afternoon. It's taking a big trip to CO next week, so some preventative maintenance was needed. EGR cooler delete, new alternators, turbo clean, belts, we got after it! After finding some info on the motor, we found out that it's a reman motor and it has less than 40K on it! Justin scored on this deal for sure.

Tore down!

We had it back together & running Thursday night! Megafun for MegAmbo! Fired right up, not a single issue! Nice when that happens.

Once that was done, we got back on V4 and made a little bit of progress on the rear box. The Rigid LED tail/reverse lights are mounted here, buried in the box. These things are sick!! Custom built with stop/tail/turn in red and the rest is reverse. I'll be tinting the red section before the final install.

Then......... we started cutting up some 1/4" Aluminum plate to make........ BUMPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been promising a production bumper for too long, and here it is mounted to MegAmbo. All 1/4" aluminum plate with a 1/2" winch plate, 2" tubing, weighing in at 37lbs! This bumper is basically the same as vanaconda's bumper, we simplified it a bit to make it easier to produce. It's ready for a winch, and the price is $1299.00. We have enough cut to build 4 bumpers right now (all spoken for) and we will be building more the last week of August. If you want to get in on that production run, shoot me an email to get on the list! Also, let me know what you guys think about it------

Like the OBA kit, Chris.
Can you PM me what the cost will be when it is up on the site...also , are you going to sell just the fitting kit ? I have a compressor and tank, but need the other fittings to complete the OBA set up and I am finding piece work sucks and would probably be better off with a kit.

Thanks,
Matt

The complete OBA kit is $969.00. I don't plan on breaking it up right now, but I will be able to if they start selling well.

I'm interested in the kit also.

How long does it take to fill a tire from 25 psi to 60psi ?

My POS takes 9 minutes for each tire. 40 mins to air up is ridiculous, a temporary fix was a Power tank. Takes about 3-4 minutes per tire depending on pressure in tank.

Not sure, I'll have to run a test! Putting the system on a van that I'm building right now, I'll do it asap.

Started on the 06 6.0 van today, full throttle! Removed the front suspension, serviced the transmission and converted it to 4wd, installed the t-case, completed the lift for the rear, pulled the fuel tank, threw the fender flares on, and started drilling the frame!
