We're starting the Cummins swap next week, and we'll have a local 7.3 van for a partial conversion.

Do you have more details about this and what you're planning on including in a kit? Will it be possible to fit an intercooled 12V - 2nd Generation 1994-1998 Dodge Ram? What transmission are you going with? Is there enough room for a NV4500? Are you keeping air conditioning? Will you sell a wiring harness? Are you planning on posting in progress details on this thread? I want to make sure I don't miss anything!

I'll be posting all of the details as they're set in stone and pics will be coming! Right now the plan is for an intercooled 12V with an auto tranny. We may offer a kit for this swap, or we may only do them in house. Keeping AC for sure, this rig will be an all around camper for a customer in CA.

Chris,

There was a "body in white" of the new Transit at the Chicago Auto Show. Take a look at the front frame rails. I'm willing to bet you could work your magic and figure out a way to get a Dana 60 under that front end.

That roof rack is pimp. I have a Fantatstic Vent that's going in my van. I was just thinking of a hinged door on the roof rack. I might build a cage like you did.

How sturdy are those retractable running boards? I have to have a set of them.

I think they're rated for 400lb. They're pretty sweet and I'll be adding them to V5 asap!
