UJOR Build Thread

Wow chris!! I'm in smithtown.
My dad worked there (KP). We used to ride bikes through the grounds to the river. Not much 4 wheeling here mostly a bit of beach stuff and the occasional giant snow storm (this year) Would have loved to have met you and gotten a look at/ride in your work..
If you are ever up here again let me know.
Ken

I may have missed this earlier and I'm honestly to lazy to go find it, but what spare tire carrier are you using on V5 ?

Welcome Back--nothing like time away with the family.

Now back to work as you've have Vans on the lifts, no doubt needing your expertise.....
I can think of one in particular (LOL)

Yes, me too! I have a few cans of the good stuff ready for that particular rig.

I grew up in Smithtown! Right off Main St between the Fire Dept & Elementary school. Spent a lot of time at that hospital too. My dad grew up on the grounds, my grandfather was a business officer and had provided housing. Pretty amazing place back in the day.

Aluminess. I still need to take some pics of the upgrades, will post soon.

I'm sure you noticed how many buildings they have torn down at the hospital complex. I had some good pics of the firehouse on site but I can't find them at the moment.

Yea, they've demo'd quite a bit. The fire house across from bldg 93 is still there, my grandfathers good friend ran it for many many years.

Some updated from around the country... Most of you are familiar with Vandiana, great build that is still underway.

I have some more videos planned, 1st one up will be about brakes & handling. For now, I just have the vanaconda action video.

That is the second van that has those fender vents, do you know where to find those? Also does anyone know where to find a snorkel for the 7.3l vans?

Yep, snowmobile. Polaris I think?

On ZVan, they didn't remove much heat in my opinion. The top mount hood louvers work much better.

Have you seen any weather inside of the engine compartment with the hood vents? I like those alot but I worry about the moisture trickling into the engine wire harness. I know you see your fair share of weather in N.C., not so bad in SoCal but it's the trips to the mountains.
