Been a while since I was last here. Real work is getting in the way of fun work although things still pretty slow due to C19.
Before I say anything I would like to add that I am not a pneumatics specialist so excuse me if I say something ridiculous. I have attached a PDF of my approximate set up. My system 18.3 bar. I also have a 3rd tank which is connected to the shown protection circuit valve. I want to add a 24V back up compressor (awaiting more info regarding the VIAIR twin set up with booster etc) and thinking to feed into the right front glad hand line. Or do I just buy a spare single cylinder belt driven compressor and fit it on the side of the road should the current one break down?
I am thinking of connecting the line using a different fitting in front of the non-return valve as shown on the PDF. If this is not a great place I would appreciate any feedback. For my semi auto tyre inflation system and small power tools I have options. For power tools I will probably hook into the existing coupling head supplies? Think I have four (3 right side and 1 left side). I'm sure these supplies were for purposes of tyre inflation and the like but I have not even taken the plastic caps off and had a good look at the fittings or actually researched what their original design is for.
For the Tyre inflation system I will look at using the existing Hydraulic winch air supply as I have removed the winch from the vehicle. I am still waiting for the supplier of the high flow tyre inflator (89XDE by air tec) to get back to me with a slightly modified unit. The unit has 3-4 Preset Buttons otherwise just enter manually, then requires modified On/Off Switch, Voltage Stabilizer Board and 24V-12V Converter. Will be quite exciting having an integrated Tyre inflation system that works well and quickly when pulling off tar road to beach road etc.........hope I can get it to do this effectively? Whilst on holiday and never in a rush I would still prefer to sit on the side of a tar road for as little time as possible prior to entering the beach or bush.
I have recently found air seats for an incredibly cheap price. Next thing is to work out what regulated pressure they need, how heavy and how good they actually are? I dont know much about these seats but If all good then I will buy.
