Ace Brown

Retired Ol’ Fart
Interesting tidbit about Browns Hole on the Green River where we camped one night. Most of us are fans of the movie Jerimiah Johnson. The opening scenes where Redford gets off the riverboat to begin his adventures was filmed right there. I never looked close enough but always thought it was a major river like the Columbia. Good camera angles i guess.

I have finally gotten around to posting photos.

Here is a few pictographs in the Buckhorn Wash Pictograph Panel. There were quite a few more but badly faded out over the ages.

I was hoping to see more petroglyphs in Nine Mile Canyon but it would have require searching them out. It was not a priority and we sailed through.

This is a view from an area we camped at a couple nights. We did to plan to stay there two nights but Ace must have eaten some bad food and was not able to travel the next morning. So being sympathetic the rest of us took off and went to the Little Grand Canyon on a day trip. :) It is way off in the distance in the photo so we could still keep an eye one Ace. While we were gone, Ace had a near lightening strike to help him stay awake.

This was supposed to be a photo of all of us but I forgot I had to set the camera for timed delay photo each time I wanted to take one. I should have been in the gap between Reid and Chuck. The rest from the left were Ace, Dan, Matt, Reid again, me (blank), Chuck again and Frenchie. Excuse me for forgetting Matt's dog's name, Being an ROF, I have a good excuse. My red Ranger managed to get in the photo.P1010041 (2).JPG

I don't remember the name of this gateway either. I am not sure it is even a gateway, but I do remember it was a nice hike.

I have no flowers to post like I usually do so the sunset will have to do.

This is Matt in his Raptor making one of our water crossings. Waiting behind is Chuck and Ann in their second vehicle. They went home with their Ram and came back with the Gladiator and trailer. Don't want the vehicles getting jealous.

That's all folks
