By utility vehicle I mean something like this:

I am posting from my mobile otherwise I would add the pic.
Just curious as I see a ton of hunters these day using them. I assumed some EXPO members would have one outfitted with a roof top tent by now. I thought it wiuld be cool to see.
I think they could be fun if you werent planning any onroad driving.

Our Can-Am Commander has a nice roof basket and a cool trailer, but we've never done a RTT.

Mostly because they are cool and seemingly capable little vehicles.
If your trips are entirely off highway they would be a nice change of pace from a 4000lb Jeep loaded down with everything but the kitchen sink. Think: ultra light. The hikers and bikepackers are going ultralight, why cant we?

As far as forum: I posted it in the "other" category...

BTW if hunters can make do on extended hunted trips with them...why not us?
