Will, what is the weight of the Falken?

The AT? I dunno they’re not in production yet. I’ll let you know when they get here. Falken overbuilds the ******** out of stuff though so I’m sure they’re on par with the terra grappler G2

I see. I was only curious bc the BFG KO2 In 37 x 12.50 R17 D has a spec of just under 71.5 pounds. I was curious how the actual size/weight will be compared to these.

Either way, reducing the rotating mass will have to improve MPG.

Thanks, Will!

yesterday i had a set of the AEV Katla's (new foundry) delivered. Im going to hold onto my TR Beadlocks for heavy trail running, but with as long as my road trips have been I need to lighten up my unsprung weight and try to get a semblance of fuel economy back.

Do you mind showing in a little more detail the mods you had to do to the Thuren bumper to get a winch to fit? Do you think you're going to need to modify anything on the truck itself to have the room to fit a winch?

82.5lbs

tires are 6lbs lighter, and the wheels are 14lbs lighter, so a total of 20lbs lighter per corner.

its literally just welding on a fairlead mount

I used to do the whole black stone thing with amsoil and see how far I could push it. Looking back I think it was all a pain in the ass and probably didn’t save me any money. Now I just run rotella and a fleetgaurd and change it every 5k.

My wife has the 6.4 in her grand Cherokee srt, I run stock mopar oil and an srt filter, change it when the light on the dash says to change it.

I wasn't trying to push it to increase the intervals, mainly to see what was going on inside the engine since I haven't always been the owner, and I ran the piss out of it. I am going to push it up to 10k intervals, but only for personal convenience. Im going to have another sample measured when this hits 10k, and see what it says, and then again somewhere around 60k when I flush the transmission and have that tested as well.

I'm sure the transmission is going to show a lot of ******** in it.

I’ve got the 6.7 and just change the fluids and filters when the computer tells me to. On average, over 4 changes, it has been around the 7000 mile mark that the light comes on.

I’m hoping that will change once I delete and add more filtration. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed for a 10k mile average.

Either way, my grandfather always told me not to change the oil unless I felt metal in it with my fingers when I checked the levels.

He would go, 10-15k miles between fluid changes when I was growing up and that truck still ran like a top after my aunt sold it 25 years after he died.

Personally, I think OEM manufacturers tell you to do it more often for sales reasons, but I’ve always erred on the conservative side.

What year is your 6.7? When I change my oil at 5k the computer shows no where near end of oil life, plus cummins recommends 14k oil changes on the new 13 plus 6.7. My 2012 the oil change light came on around 7k.

Ram 6.4L Hemi comes on every 7,500 miles, I think it could go to 10,000 miles easily. That said, the first three oil changes are covered by Ram/FCA so I don’t have to worry about that until 37,500 miles.

It’s a ‘14. I use full synthetic Rotella too.

Do they make by Pass oil filtration for this engine? They use those systems on big rigs and more and more guys are getting 500k on a single oil change.

Oils don’t break down, they get dirty. With good filtration you could EASILY do 50k oil changes. Imagine doing maybe a handleful of oil changes in 250k miles???!!! The savings.
