Viair chuck replacement

The chuck is worn out on the Viair 440 compressor. It's called a 5 in 1 gauge hose assembly and costs 40 bucks. Has anybody had any luck finding a free flowing locking chuck that fits this odd size hose or is the whole assembly my best option?

Maybe just make a new hose yourself and use an off the shelf locking chuck? Even if it costs the same to make your own, next time you can merely replace the worn piece for a lot less.
