Warn Zeon 10-S versus the VR10000-S?

So do you folks feel the approximately $250.00 more for the Zeon vs. the VR10000 is worth it? I want to "buy the best" as it will be a one-time purchase but don't want to be "frivolous" either! (The winch will be on a multi-mount and see very occasional self-extraction use.)

Thanks in advance,
Steve

I didn't.
I bought a VR10S mainly because the Zeon was on backorder and I was heading out on a trip and needed to get something on my truck. $250 buys a lot of gas.
I have no buyers remorse, plus the VR fit in my bumper better and I didn't have to trim the grill.

I'm looking at these two as well. My goal is for a very dependable ~10000lb winch under $1000.

One that caught my eye was the 9.5xp-s though. Have either of you looked at it? I don't know why it costs so much more.

The big down side to the Zeon that I can see, is it's size. It may not fit in some bumpers. I have a Zeon 8 with MasterPull superline and it's preformed fantastic.

The 9.5XP is a MUCH faster winch. If you can swing it, get it or look for a decent used one. Overall a great winch. On full pulls, it makes a HUGE difference. Recently I was reminded of how slow my M12k is. That said, faster than walking out. A LOT faster.

Thanks to everyone for your responses. Since I've never got the Ram stuck in the two plus years I've owned it (can you say "chicken"?) I went with the VR10000-S and the multi-mount. My guess is it will work.

PS Now I gotta figger out how to run power to the winch when it is mounted on the back. I'm thinking some #1 gauge jumper cables!
