when did the lr 4 come out? what issues do they have

There are some minor feature upgrades available in the 2007 model year that might appeal to you, as well as a number of part number revisions such as brake switches, suspension bolts, air compressor type, bushing compounds, etc... I think the 2007 model year is the one that reflects most of the lessons learned from the earlier models. However, the earlier models mostly got a lot of the same revisions via dealer servicing, so it's not like they are "worse", just not better by default

Agree there is a "school me on rovers" like thread like every week and most of them end in a Comparison to other brands and models. Search and everything regarding Rovers from Vintage to the most up to date models can be found on here.
