What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Well after a bad code read, and chasing electrical gremlins I finally got the problem fixed. Had the dealer check codes and they found the problem.

Codes read- Low voltage, all 4 ABS sensors, Steering angle indicator.
Replaced sensors, No change lights still on

Changed steering angle indicator a.k.a Clock spring, no change lights still on.

Dealer read the codes did a good bit of trouble shooting and found this wire it was still wrapped in the OEM black insulation also was still in the conduit they have no clue how it got damaged. I did the repair because I am picky about my wireing.

Cut all the bad out till I found good clean corrosion free wiring, soldered in new wire because butt connectors are garbage. Electrical grease, heatshrink, taped tightly, back in OEM conduit and taped again.

Only reason I did not have the code read in the beginning by the dealer is they wanted $200 just to read the code. I found a different dealer that read it and troubleshot the system for $99 wish I would have found them earlier.

At least it's all done now. To bad you had to do all the other work to find one bad wire but it's definitely the way it always works for me.

Pulled neighbors out of the snow, and drove through the snow to make a path that others could get through.

So happy that I finally got my ABS/Traction control issue worked out, was in a good mood, was winching my trailer out of the snow so I could work on it. Put the Jeep in reverse went to pull backwards because I was on some ice. Tires caught traction and BAM!!!! CLANG!!! now my front differential is full of shiny metal.

Believe me Stanbiker, I fight that urge everyday. My commitment to my wife and kids are what keep me here. She couldn't handle the cold.
