What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

How's your battery? A lot of phantom electrical issues I have seen can be traced back to a weak or failing battery.

Brand new or well maybe a few months old, but deep Cycle Diehard Platinum. I have had that as well but even with a weak battery with the ground unhooked the system goes dead. I acutally recorded a short video of this happening showing the cable off and the lights on.

I hate electrical problems. At least the mechanical stuff has the decency to make noise, make smoke, leak, or be visibly cracked so you can figure out where it is.

for all 4 ABS sensors to show bad at once is almost not possible

Don't count out the almost impossible.

Not vehicle related, but I had a 2-tube fluorescent light fixture go out in my shop; I spent an afternoon trying everything from replacing the fixture (and reusing the original tubes), checking there was power at the switch and at the fixture, then finally got fed up and replaced the tubes. Bingo. What are the odds that BOTH tubes would burn out at the exact same time? Yeah...that's what I thought. :peepwall:

Well I say almost impossible because the lights were on all sensors were changed with new ones so the chances of having 8 bad sensors total... I am gonna say not likely

Took a peek over the edge of a rocky cliff's edge...

Posed for pictures...

Made new friends...

Shot some wildlife...

Climbed a waterfall...

Hit the road for the long drive home.

Got it stuck. The combination of sand, snow and ice is a vehicle trap. I had to lock both axles in order to back out of this sitch.

What I did to my Expo Jeep Today

It was finally warmer today, if you can call 29* warm. I have a trip coming up that will require carrying some extra fuel cans. In warmer weather I usually have my Roof Top Tent mounted to my heavy duty RRO roof rack and had thought about making an extension out the front for fuel or other gear. I got the idea one day when I was moving my hitch mount rack out of the way in the garage for the 100th time. If I added some full length supports across the bottoms of the cross bars (not to interfere with the RTT mounts) they could support the rack.
I had to remove my cross bars.

I attached the unistrut using heavy duty hardware.

The rack was mounted to the extended unistrut , and if I ever need that damn hitch rack again I still can...

I still need to trim off some bolts, especially above the sunroof, but I think it looks pretty good.
