Sold Poly Performance Baja Basket last week. It was larger than I wanted or needed.

Started plan to install a spare Rotopax Universal Mount Plate on the Bestop Tailgate Rack, along with a simple small grate or tray. Plan on adding another 4 gallon fuel pack; moving the water pack to the top for easier access.

@Bubblegoose1, looks like if you put on a slimmer front bumper you could do a vertical wall climb. I admire your rig. not my taste exactly but from what I have seen it is built up right and I can appreciate the work put into it. kudos.

new front pads and rotors on the XJ, both rotors were the same PN but the passenger side was to big by 2mm, it got held up on the tie rod when it was all bolted down, so word of advice when buying new rotors, take one of your old ones into the parts store and bust out some measuring calipers and make sure they are the same size, maybe I'll post up a pic of what part to measure in my build thread later on. took it back and got one, different PN that was 1mm smaller than the original one. I had. fit perfectly.

Thanks for the compliment. My plan was to built it stronger than I will use it - beyond reliable. It is going to make a great adventure rig, when I get it slowly expo made-over.

that is my plan, my main goal is to drive to the north pole so Im pretty much going to over engineer the axles to be way stronger than I will need, and do a number on the unibody rails to stiffen all that up. work in progress..

Red gets updated...

Been away for sometime, but back now. Red, my primary jeep got lots of upgrades this past month.Went from a 3" lift to a new 6" lift. Went from 31" A/T to 33" KM2's on soft 8s.Added a SYE with a Tom Woods Shaft. Replaced my tired yellow top Optima with a fresh one. Put a set of Rusty's Flex Flares on. Bolted up a new Smittybuilt X2O 8000 winch. Next month 4.56 gears will be installed in the axles I'm removing from ET, my 1999 XJ and will install them in Red once the gears are done. Now to finish cleaning him up for a show Saturday! Jeeps are never done....

Early Saturday morning we drove north and parked out in a big empty field. Then I started going over all the details of my Jeep, cleaning it up. Soon I was joined by others, well over 100 other Jeeps. I was one of the first to arrive for the 3rd annual Jeeps in the Vineyard Jeep Show. The last one of the season around here for us. My daily driver , weekend wheeler, expedition Jeep did well. Red took 1st in Modified competing against some really nice Cherokees, Grand Cherokees and Comanches. This has given me the motivation to take him to the next level for the events this coming spring. Getting ready to start some more modifications throughout the winter, but still taking him out all winter too. Hopefully he will be sporting a nice new trailer in the spring as well!

I removed the air inlet tube from behind the grill going to the air box. I'm going to head to Lowes soon to get some wire mesh to cover the hole.

finally got some cash, so priced out some parts for the XJ, rebuilding the head and possibly the main bearings and such. should be interesting.
