What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Out here, if someone sees a "dog getting a little warm" inside a vehicle they bust the window and call the humane society...

Got my hitch installed yesterday, FINALLY (it took a few hours). Propane torch and mini sledge was the way to go.

I had started and one side just was not lining up. pulled it down and bolt holes weren't spaced even. OK, used hitch, shipping, work on getting it back straight. Try to install again, still no dice. Notice how the holes don't line up and skewed to one side. Realize for some reason it's hitting my spare tire well.

See the difference in the spare tire wells:

Mine, extra bump out and marks from pushing the hitch.

See all better now. I couldn't put off another day installing it, had to pick up my trailer.

Jeep WJ Flowmaster Exhaust Installed

I've had a Flowmaster 3" Super 10 series single chamber muffler sitting in my garage for a while now from another build and figured I'd put it on this rig. I put a super 44 muffler on my TJ and it was way too quite, so I wasn't worried about this being too loud. Took the Jeep down to a local shop I've gone to for years and had them just install the muffler with stock tail pipe. Didn't want to spend a bunch of money like the $600 plus Borla or Magnaflow deals. It turned out pretty nice and I love the sound. Deep mellow tone with very little drone. I had them place the muffler as far back as possible to help with drone and it was only $45 for labor.

Dropped it off at the tire shop for my new shoes... can't wait to pick it up in an hour or so...

And tonight depending on how lazy I feel, will consider installing my new MorRyde hinges that arrived yesterday.

I would love to see some pics and also maybe a measurement of your stock hinge length compared to new length of them if possible septu. I want to add them but not sure if they will work with my tire swing. Think they may be too thick when opening tail gate. Let me know if you can.

Installed an OEM HD MaxCool radiator, along with new radiator hoses and heater hoses. Solved my cooling issues with this. Have run a CSF 3 row and a Spectra single core with big tubes in the past, neither work as well as the stocker. Part number 52080104AC, a bit costly at $300+ but well worth it.

Just looking for how far out they stick (away from the jeep)? And the length? Because unless your tire carrier sits right up against the gate you should be fine. But can grab some measurements tomorrow (you should probably PM me to remind me lol).

EZ Drain Valve. Transfer case fluid, Rear sub frame spare tire rust cleaning

Added an EZ Drain valve to oil pan while I had front skid plate off. Pretty easy, except I decided to do it without needing an oil change, so drained, filtered and refilled my oil.

Changed Transfer case oil. Very messy unless you have right tool. You need a quart pump, or something else. Takes two quart bottles to do.

Took off spare tire winch, wire wheeled entire rusted area of rear sub frame and sheet metal. Painted with rust paint and covered with undercoating. Reinstalled winch and tried to mount my Cooper Discoverer A?TW LT235/80-R17 spare. Will not fit. Will try to grind excess metal off of trailer hitch. Almost hope it doesn't work so I can build rear storage area. :)
