Im running 35's and had 3.21's. I regeared to 4.56's and love it. Couldnt imagine going back down to the 3.21's. I also had a manual so I was able to offset some with down shifting and all but still was no where near what it should have been. Now it is awesome. Just realized after I went looking I really do not have any pictures since I put 35's and regeared. Oh well here is about the only one I have. On my way to Jeep Beach last month. I can run 78 mph up interstate if needed on cruise control doing about 2700 RPMS. Easily can speed up if needed as well. Before regear I couldnt put the Jeep in 6th without pretty much slowing down and having to down shirt into 5th.

Pretty sure you'd have to regear. I have 4.10s with the auto and so far it seems fine. Honestly, little different then the heavy and wide 33s I was running before. However I do remember taking a 2012 out for a test drive back when I was waiting for my 2012 to show up. That was an auto with 3.21 gears and the stock 32" BFGs. I thought that was under geared. Not a ton, but slightly.

Edit. My last jeep (07 X) was really undergeared, however was a 6 spd. So while it sucked... it wasn't the end of the world. I just always had to wheel in 4lo. But could (in ideal circumstances) get really good gas mileage. Had multiple tanks around 23-25 MPG (hand calculated). But that's only if I was in a very flat non windy area. A wind or a mid size hill would destroy that lol.

To go anywhere fun (read - ocean - Oregon - California) I have to cross the mountains so it could be painful on the way up and hard on the tranni.
Biggest tires on any of my Jeeps have been 33s with no re-gear but I keep eyeing my buddy's Jeep with 35s.

No worries. Honestly, this is the first time I've run something bigger than 33s, and I've had a JKU since Jan 2010. And while I've managed to get my jeep stuck many times... I can probably count on one hand how many of those times was due to having 33s vs 35s. Almost every time I was stuck it's been due to me picking a poor lin... I mean my spotter giving me a bad line , or me just going somewhere stupid where I was going to get stuck regardless.

The plan all along (since I bought this JK) was to run 35s, however I got such a wicked deal on my 33s that I ran that I couldn't turn that down, so I ran those... and honestly, they served me very well since I put them on 2 years ago. And most of the times I was stuck with those on was likely more due to me not having lifted my JK until last year... or umm... my 'spotter' giving me a bad line

Now I think the JK looks more proportional and better with 35s or 37s... but I didn't have complaints over my 33s.

Yep...me too been stuck a few times...mostly when the wife said `I'm telling you, don't go there you gonna get stuck...`To counter that I installed a bigger Warn...

Helped a couple fellow Jeepers up a very slippery hill. Ground is still frozen once you get down through the first 6-8 inches of soil. So once you start to dig, you are done.

Got the lift, shocks, and tires installed yesterday, thank god for the Auto Skills Center at Ft. Meade for $100 bucks was able to use a lift all the tools i needed and tires mounted. She's sitting pretty now!!!!!

I've got about 30k on mine and they are still in great shape. Probably another 15-20k miles left. They work great off road and on, including mud and snow. Much better off road then my previous BFG All Terrains. I'm on the fence about going with them again (in a 35" size) or trying the new (not yet released) STT Pro that was just reviewed on the cover page.

2 of 3 parts of my order (bumper corners and morryde hinges) were backordered so I am hoping when I goto the dealership on Tuesday they will be in. I am itching to get that done. The high clearance corners on my Bumper will make it look better, and the hinges will cure my knock in the rear tailgate.

They were indeed. I tried to find one when I first bought the XJ in 2007, no dice for under $200 and shipping. $50 bucks and 4 blocks from home...nice.

I have been doing some more work on the XJ, need to get it ready for the road this summer! Needs that steering box replaced still...ugh.

Installed a set of JK 4.90 gears in my LJ. Much better now with the BFG 315 75 16 tires. I did not want to have the cheap Chinese crap gears so the only choice I had was to go with a JK gear conversion. Worked out good, needed a different pinion bearing and seal, 1350 yoke and that was about it.
