What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Decided to take the "short cut" instead of the bypass like we normally do. Only got stuck twice, which is impressive as there's some big holes in there.

Tried to go more drivers side, but guess I didn't go far enough over. Meh, that's what the winch is for. The jeep behind me is stuck as well.

What is all that white stuff everywhere? You wheeling through the burned out forests in the Pacific North West....

Man, that looks too cold to be stuck in. I'd have been making a fire with those pallets, and signaling for a rescue crew!

My winter tires are on :)

I wanted to go narrower and by doing so I had to sacrifice about 1/2 ground clearance. Having had winter tires on other vehicles, I will never again not have dedicated winter tires on any of my vehicles.

This is a 235/70/17 Bridgestone Blizzak DMV2 on factory wheels. The DMV2 is Bridgestones newest winter tire.

I lived in your neck of the wood about 20 years ago, and I agree with you, N.Indiana highway maintenance is just so poorly equiped for snow and ice storm that the real thing is required!

Winter road condition is worst than up heer on the quebec st-laurence north shore! Lol

Mine will be going on soon. Looking at the weather forecast, I can probably hold off for another week or 2, but we'll see. My winter set are 235/70R16 Nokian Hakka R2s (same diameter, just a little narrower compared to my 255/60R17 summers that I run for DD duty and road trips).

Why so small? a 265/70R17 is only 1/3" shorter than the factory 255/75s.
