unpacked it, packed it, went inside to think about it, unpacked it again, re-arranged and packed it again. I'll probably do that at least two more times before I leave on July 1. I can't wait to go on vacation!!!

I think I need a bigger truck!
Trailer got some love this past weekend... and before anyone says it, I wore appropriate protection (bunny suit, goggles, full face respirator etc) and contained all that dust in the shed. SO hot in there, for all 7 hours.

Grinding, lots of grinding.

Cleaned out then POR15 metal/rust prep spray. Following instructions, a good rinse 20 min later.

Dried in the sun for 3 hours, POR15 over the whole interior and select exterior locations...like the entire rock-chipped-to-hell front panel!

It has been too hot to work alot on the trailers.
I started to fab the rack for the RTT on the 101A2 It is welded up but needs finished.
Cover the end caps and make the corner braces. It is 30" talloff the deck as I did not want a high climb
and I do not plan to add a changing room.

I also closed the tongue opening with diamond plate and added a handle to make miving and hitching the trailer easier.

As for the 116A2 I have started to run wires for the taillights.
It is road worthy and I think It will end up as a weekend hauler only.
Bikes, a box for tents and chairs and a kayak rack

The aluminum box will be devided and used a a chuck box.
I have the two trailers and truck all with 2" receivers on the rear.
I am going to weld up a T rack that slides into the hitch and use the chuck box on all three.

Just brought it back from its first trip... Great Basin NP, Wildhorse Reservoir State Prk, NV, Fields Spring State Park, WA, and Riverside State Park, WA. Pic is of yesterday morning on the way home when I needed some coffee to keep on driving. My thanks to all of you who gave me great ideas to incorporate into the build. :luxhello:

Haven't done much, been to busy building the new shop (garage burned in Jan)

I did manage to get out and use it once in June, and on Tue I mounted my new RTT on it!

Now to figure out how to get it to over 6' when parked, so I can use the annex. Yet keep it at lid height for travel.............

Greg: Looks great! post more of your work.

Will do... more coming this weekend. I just saw a pic of my new CVT Mt Hood RTT set up, well its sister. WOW that thing is big! I got it with the annex included (they all come with an annex) so if I decide to mount it on the XJ or even the Caravan (as in Dodge Caravan not European Camping Trailer) I can use it.

More work on it today.

First coat of Monsta Liner on the inside and the front of the tub today...and picked out the top coat paint I am going to use for the tub exterior too. Interlux one component polyurethane marine enamel, dries nice and hard with a non marring surface.

Tub and Monstaliner (that **** is thick out of the can, check out the stir stick)

Notice the nice trailer tongue box I am using as my workbench... fresh from the interior via Vancouver.

Monsta liner goes on easily, smells pretty rank but all in all was easy to apply. I catalyzed up about 1/3 of a gal to coat the tub with one heavy coat. 2nd coat tomorrow morning should use a lot less. Once that is done it should have a more even texture, but honestly I could leave it as is and be happy with it. Looks good and covers well. It is drying like a champ and was dry to the touch in about 45 min.

Stoked!! Now for those NASTY fenders!!
