You should have no issue turning that tire, but it's best to talk to other SMB owners to see if they're having the same issues. I can turn mine easily, even at idle standing still, but I have a ram assist.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree it should turn the tires without trouble. Any ideas on how to test the power steering pump? Hopefully some other SMB-converted 4x4 owners will respond too.

As a quick check, make sure your air pressure is correct in the front.

I have not tried to turn the front tires while the van is not moving, that I remember. I will try it out for you but that won't happen until this weekend. I do know in the fire engine I drive (think really big tires at very high pressure) you can't move the front tires at all while parked. But if you rev the engine to 1000-1500rpm you can easily move the front tires while parked. Must have to do with the steering pump and the amount of pressure at a higher rpm.
