What is it about your truck that you like so much?

Seriously Corey, you need to get out and take a few more pics of your buggy. I have seen that one way too much! I won't even mention that your tires on both the truck and your bike are clean. What gives?

Don't be so harsh. He's got other pictures.

What do you love about your wife? What do you love about your dog? Your truck is a member of the family. Love is unconditional and does not have to be justified.

I have not washed my rig since July :D
The tires today even with all of the rain we have had as of late here in the PNW look shiny and new.
It is the rubber that they are made from.
I will not be washing the rig until March/April, and the tires will look the same.
Very impressed with them.

The bike was only about one week or so old when I took it camping, so that trip was the first time to get the bike dirty.
It took awhile to clean the bike up after my trip.

That was from the year before.
Great place, but not really much mountain biking to do there, hence why I hit Greenwater which is this side of Mt. Rainier to do some biking.

Next season I should have some good vids biking.
I picked up the new GoPro HD helmetcam last week.

He he, even with all of winters crud on mine, the silver really hides the dirt well.
This is my first silver vehicle, and it is also the cleanest looking one I have ever owned, and also the less washed of any vehicle I have had.
Silver is just a good color to hide dirt and look clean most of the time.

Seriously!

I just saw a trip thread where one member encouraged everyone to turn the "ignore" feature on a brand new member, who had commited the forum faux pas of rather politely presenting an opposing point of view to the OP in said trip thread.

Oh. Wait a minute....

i love thats its something new, and by that i mean its not a jeep cherokee like all the rest of the vehicles i've owned. that its IFS, has lower gearing then any of the jeeps that i've owned. i like how simple it is, i really like the fact that i can finally build up a pre-runner and not have to pay out the wahzoo to get monopolized parts. and finally i love how 4 bolts and the doors are off and 12 bolts takes the top off.

but i dislike that its underpowered, not as maintained as i would have liked it to be, which means more work for me. that i have to get out and lock the front hubs for actual 4wd. and that its a real bear to find parts for it that are in good shape and not all beat up.

I'll have no problem saying that it was me who had his trip report hijacked by the newbie, much the way the illegal tree climber Frans trashed my other trip report thread.

He was politely asked to post his personal and undocumented opinions in the appropriate thread such as Fireside Chat. I guess that only Forum Mods can determine what goes in a thread even though the area is for "Trip Reports"? I had emails from others complaining about the guy polluting my trip report so I advocated using a feature that the forum owners have provided to us as a tool to ignore nonsensical folks who refuse to desist.

That is okay. I have been told in no uncertain terms by the Mods that trip reports have absolutely no value to the Forum owners as opposed to cold cash from Forum vendors. No matter how many pictures, how much history or how much commentary I work at sharing, newbies who hijack my threads with innuendo and falsehoods are welcomed and coddled. Somehow a good trip report does little to attract new business for the vendors I guess.

Seriously!

OK gang, please get back on to what this thread is about. There's no reason to take it any further south.

Jim - sent you a PM.

What makes you keep your truck instead of getting something else? What does yours have that you like so much that you won't get rid of it? Be sure to include a pic of your rig.

It's paid off...that's why :wings:

She’s like the first fiery girlfriend you had in high school. Get back on the pavement and she acts like we weren’t doing anything bad at all.

Just a little fog in the windows.

Here’s an old pic from her first build.
