What is the longest expo you did in your Suzuki?

I am slowly building my 90 Tracker up as a short trek rig. I have to admit for the short haul, I love this little truck, but am curious how well they would work for a long expedition. So figured I would see how long a trip you zuki owners have been out in your rigs.

With no stops for fuel or food; four days, three nights with two people in the vehicle. I feel I could have easily pushed it to seven days no problem before needing to resupply.

longest drive in mine so far is to the Ikea an hour and a half away. That was enough to convince me not to drive it on the interstate in heavily populated areas again unless I have no other option...

just over 34000km in a 1991 samurai softtop. took about 6 or 7 months. Canada, US, Mexico and Central America. basically bone stock with about a 2 inch lift and a 2 inch body lift. no major issues whatsoever. as you can see i only had a half top, if i didnt tent out, i would just lay out my sleeping bag across the front seats with my feet hanging out the window and crash for the night. if it got really cold i would ball up in the fetal position in the front seats and close the window but that really sucked so i just got a warmer sleeping bag and kept my feet out the window.

I took my first Sammy to Moab from SoCal for a weeklong trip. I'm not sure I'd really call it an "Expedition" though, since some of the time I stayed in motels along the way. The first day and night I, along with the club I was with, drove straight through from L.A. to Moab. We stayed for about four days, and on the return trip a buddy and I took three days to get back.

I did a four day trip to the Dusy/Ershim trail, and another to the Rubicon, and the Sammy worked great for that. I lived out of the Sammy for those trips, and I know I could live out of it for longer than that, but I don't really think I'd want to.

The biggest issue with the Sammy is taking it on the highway. It's fantastic on tight trails, but for driving 1200 miles on the interstate, it isn't the greatest. When I drove mine across Utah, there were places I couldn't even go 55 mph due to the grade and a fairly strong headwind. When I've done that same drive in my '05 Colorado, it's been much more pleasant.

Mine was a DD for 11 years in Salt Lake traffic, while not LA, can get bad. My Dad drove his as a DD for 20 years. Its all about pedal to the floor and driving like you would on a motorcycle, assume no one notices you.

I've done lots of weekend trips, and trips up to a week living out of a Suzuki. Longest so far is nine days - spring breaks at Pismo back in the late 80's/early 90's.
