What style of tires is everyone running?

I am running BFG At's right now but in the past I have run BFG MT's, Interco Trxxus MT's, and Mickey Thompson MTZ's.
The BFG AT's get BY FAR the longest road life and are quietest.
The BFG MT's were the worst tires I've owned. The sidewalls tore easily and they were noisy and very slippery on anything other then a dry road.
The Interco Trxxus MT's were very nice tires offroad, but suffered poor roadlife. Quiet, but they wore quicker then I'd like.
The Mickey Thompson MTZ's are a relatively quiet MT in my opinion and so far they have had decent life. Not as good as the AT, but it's not designed to be as much of a road tire either.
My next set will either be more BFG AT's or the Mickey Thompsons for what it's worth.

I thought BFG AT KO's were the "official" tires of ExPo?
I was so excited to see that my 4runner came with KOs, I thought "now I'm in the club!"
Given the Rocky Mountain/Desert bias of this board, I'm not surprised. My guess would be that those East of the Rocky Mountains are more likely to run MTs just because they're more likely to do a lot of mud running.
Out here there's not a lot of mud and what mud there is, tends to be in small patches (and dries up quickly.) Dirt, rocks and snow are our main terrain conditions here in the Rockies and further West.
Every now and then we do find some mud to play in....
But it's not an everyday occurrence. :elkgrin:

Currently shod with 285/75R16 Nitto Terra Grapplers LR-E. But I have also run Pro Comp AT LR-D. My past favorites for dual purpose tires were Bridgestone Desert Duelers...great road manners and OK off-road. :sombrero:
I've had great luck with both BFG MTs and ATs, so...I have a set of both. 31x10.50 ATs on the 4runner currently, but I'm noticing some cracking, so I'll be putting on the set of near new 265/75/16 BFG MTs on Alcoa wheels that I've been hording in the garage since my last 4runner sold.

Goodyear DuraTracs, 265/75/16. I voted for A/T since they're not a true M/T, but are definitely on the aggressive end of the A/T spectrum. I've had them for about 7,000 miles so far and I've been very pleased. I have a 80-mile mostly highway commute to/from work everyday, and have found the on-road noise to be pretty negligible so far.
