where are the Porsche cayenne expo builds?

Revisiting this thread again. Thinking about going out to the Salida, CO area to camp the week of Labor Day. I'd sure like to do some of the OHV passes up around Tincup etc. and I think it'd be way more comfy on 18's with some K02s on there.
Anyone explored that area?

Yeah I drove over cumberland pass last year, after that I bought some tire deflators because it was a rough slow ride at full pressure.. had a bunch of snow to deal with on north side but that was Memorial Day weekend.. by Labor day hopefully its all cleared.. I also bought a recovery strap after that because a stock jeep was following my snow busting and between the both of us neither had a strap if we messed up.

Which tires and size are you running at 15 psi ?
We just changed from Grabber AT2s - now have BFG KO2s in 255/55/18
They did well on a rocky trail this past weekend. Did not go far, it was part of a Gaia class to see if we learned anything.

No permanent solutions yet. I am still running it along the rain gutters and down the tail gate with velcro. The Yakima racks hold it in place.

I have the same stock tire size 255 55 18 KO2's. Enough clearance until I get my spacers. KO2's have been performing well for me with tolerable road noise.

The KO2's have performed well from the Colorado OHV passes to the Carolina's Tail of the Dragon
No problem at the Colorado trails. Scary but well worth it.

I've been running the General Grabber 2 in the stock size. I'm on my second set. The first set lasted 50,000 miles . The tread pattern is very similar to the BFG

Do not believe General Grabber 2s are available in our size now. 255/55/18
We are taking some trails with sharp shale - went with KO2s for better puncture resistance. Downside over the Grabbers is that the KO2s weigh 7# more per tire of unsprung weight. Six tires = 42# extra weight.

diesels wont notice the extra tire weight much, city fuel economy will be impacted slightly but highway and steady travel not really.. still lots of neck snaping torque, with no ponies later in the power band to back em up.

Anyone going to the Northwest Overland Rally in Plain, WA?
This will be our sixth year attending. Otis will be leading two trail runs - one Friday morning and again mid-day Saturday. Hope to see some other Cayenne's - most we have had there at one time was four.
