Which cover for my XJ?

Hi Gang!

I'm lookin' for some bright ideas!

We will be storing the XJ intermittently over the next year, some times for 3-5 months. Not sure if it will be parked in N.Y. or F.L. but in any case I'd like to keep it it least somewhat out of the elements. The truck is outfitted with custom AJ's bumpers, winch w/ a full guard in front and tire carrier w/ two jerry cans in the rear. It will soon have a Autohome Extreme RTT on the rack. We don't have a permanent home so there is no removing the RTT for storage. What are the options for a cover? I'm thinking that the most cost effective solution might be to just get a cover for a bigger truck - a Suburban of a Navigator or one of the other big ones...

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Many Thanks...

My wife bought be a generic cover for my S2000 last Christmas (not realizing I had a fitted cover already). On the XJ it was too short but really close. That makes me think that if you got something meant for mid size cars or trucks it should work.

IIRC the generic covers are sized by length and width. Tape measure and start googling is my suggestion.

I found some decent ones from empire. This cover was a replacement cover for a custom cover that cost three times as much and started leaking water and collecting dust under the cover in less than a year. My Empire cover is 4 months old, has survived numerous strong thunderstorms and seering Texas sun, and so far is exceeding my expectations. I have 3 trucks under cover, soon the other two will be covered by Empire.
