I agree with most of what is stated in here, about the solid feel, comfortable seats, huge cargo area, etc, I also love how easy they are to work on. Differential swap? No problem, it takes about 30 minutes and there is only 1 diff to source so it is easy to find proper parts. Same with wheel bearings, there is 1 part. None of this inner, outer, front, rear business. No ball joints to pop and press in and out, changing the brake pads doesn't even require pulling the calipers, just 2 pins and slip them in. Belt? Same thing, the shroud snaps open so you can see what's going on. Fuel pump? Piece of cake and somewhat enjoyable while you stand in the rear drinking a beer, as opposed to lying on the hot parking lot crammed into spine-twisted places most children wouldn't fit in, unable to see anything, covered in gas, using every curse word you've ever heard. (Yes, I did this on a friend's Suburban the other week)
The biggest thing I enjoy however, is what a ridiculous combination of a vehicle it is. Mine is mostly stock, with only a 2" lift and KM2 tires, but crossing a bog that got much deeper than expected, climbing over sunken trees in the bottom of it, feeding it throttle to keep from sinking into the thick muck as water crept in under the door seals, I realized I was on a comfortable power heated leather seat, staring at a wood grain dash and sunroofs that wouldn't be out of place in a BMW or other luxury sedan of the same era.
