Why SmugMug over Photobucket???

I think it does that on my iphone. , otherwise i don't think it has that template as a default

Yes, I just checked and under gallery settings there is "all thumbs" option that will display your gallery's photos as thumbs only and put them all on one page if you want.

I have it set up as user controlled. Click "style" "thumbnails" then check the box that says show thumbnails on single page. If I wanted to I could set it that way as default.

Hey thanks for the info.. KC sent me a link that showed a single page thumbnail view of the entire gallery.

I've seen only smug galleries where thumbnails were several pages deep. Drove me crazy since I wanted to quickly look at the all the pics and enlarge select ones..

The owner has to set that option in the gallery settings. An outside visitor would not have that level of control.

As someone who had to sue to protect my copyright, I totally feel for this kid.

I hadn't seen that video. Thanks for sharing it. I will show that on the first day of my commercial/industrial photography class that starts on Wednesday.

I also utilize Smugmug and have not found anywhere else I can upload hundreds of pictures full size so friends and family can view them.
Yes it costs a few bucks but nothing outlandish in my opinion.

Just converted to SmugMug. They just had the "It" factor. not sure what that is but it snagged me.

I switched to SmugMug from Photobucket initially because SmugMug allows full size storage if you want and they don't damage your image quality by compressing like so many other sites do.

Easy share links to post any image size you want into forums. Tons of ways to customize how you view and control your photo galleries as far as public or private visibility and download protection when you want that.

They are also linked into very professional print labs like BayPhoto for quality prints on a wide variety of media if you want that.

Personally, me like SmugMug. :wings:

What he said. Photobucket compresses your images and destroys the quality in my opinion. If you like your photos I recommend shelling out a few bucks to get a smugmug account. I'm not a professional photographer but I use it and I love it. Right now I have the basic account and may upgrade when the next annual payment comes through.
