Did you take this photo? I'm damn jealous. Nice shot. I've only seen one in the wild and I didn't get photos, it happened too fast.

Yeah, I took it--year and a half ago on Thanksgiving. I think it was a once in a lifetime moment. For me, anyway.

Ok so some older shots that were taken over the past 4 years.

This was taken last year on the Hillsborough river. The pigs are common but most people do not get to see them. I was on a private guided trip with a small family. about 4 miles intot he trip these 2 adults along with the piglets came down tot he river and were messing about in a small bog about 30' from us. I was only using an olympus sw720 for this so no real zoom.

Several years ago in Baja we passed quite a few instances of a vulture sitting on top of a saguaro warming its wings in the morning sun. It was a beautiful iconic site. With all the Baja travellers here I scanned the thread hoping to see one posted. No luck...

Anyone have one to post?

Yes!
In one morning I'll bet we passed 20 different vultures perched ontop of whatever was along the side of road trying to soak up the morning sun.

Thanks!

Those are Coatis. I have actually seen them in AZ before. Cool picture.

Shot these yesterday out near "Little Moab", just west of Utah Lake. We were on our way home from the utah Four Wheel Drive Association cleanup, and saw this antelope and it's baby right off the road.

Saw these guys on a wheeling trip to France a couple weeks ago.

This big guy was about 15 feet from the truck, and didnt seem to mind us being there.

We get wild boars in the Smoky Mts and I can tell you I wouldn't get near one, especially one with piglets. Nasty animals (and tearing-up the Smokies).

Nice shot!
