These are all birds, but it's 99% of the Wildlife I see these days unless I start posting photos from the Tiki Bar. The past few days in Cedar Key along the Gulf Coast of Florida have been picture perfect...sorry bad pun!
The weather has been absolutly beautiful and the birds are moving through in huge numbers. Here are a few shots I've snagged over the past few days
White Pelican with a Monster Red Fish in its pouch. It probably took this bird 10 minutes to wrestle this fish down its throat
Great Blue Heron standing guard beside the sign that says this shoreline is a National Bird Sanctuary...LOL
Great Blue Heron taking to flight out of a scrub oak on one of the surrounding islands
This one makes me laugh each time I look at it. We were watching this osprey eat his breakfast he had just caught when this great white egret pop's it's head up from the sea oats.
They squawked at one another a few times before the egret flew off
This bird looks perfct for a Monday morning post! Sort of resembles what I look like after the long weekend
Great White Egret coming in for a landing on Seahorse Key
Cant wait for this next month as the numbers are sure to grow
