Yep, they showed up now. Those are some outstanding images!

Love the red headed bird flying by the driftwood

sorry for the delayed reply - I was on vacation... :sombrero:

Thank you for the compliments, some really great photography in here!

That's a red crested cardinal coming off a coconut husk - when I pulled the trigger he was actually on it, sometimes you win some.

Cody1771 was right, flickr is a bit of a pain on this site...

Completely off topic, but I thought I'd share some silly bar trivia after seeing the photo of the pelican in the dive, by the way is a great shot.

Some woman was sitting at the tiki bar the other night and we're talking about Pelicans and how hard/fast they dive into the water. She starts telling Cindy and I that she's a Eye Surgeon and specializes in Repairing Cataracts. The reason this came up was she told us she's studied Pelicans for years now because their main cause of death is due to diving into the water for their entire life. The force of the salt water hitting their eyeballs causes extreme cataracts which then causes them to lose their good eyesight they need to fish. So the older pelicans basically starve to death because they cant see to fish and die of starvation :Wow1:

And there is your useless bar trivia for the day

Cool shoot Tim. Man those baby Owls sure are goofy looking. Pretty funny.:wings:

Thanks Brad, they are funny looking, that's for sure. This is the youngest I have seen them so far. We usually see a new set every year in that same nest. This is also the 1st time we have seen the adult with them in the nest.

10 years ago, did you ever think you would be in a position to write that, without being tongue in cheek? I'd say you are doing something right.

10 Years ago I was working/owning our last bar and thought "I've got to get out of this work" Now I'm back working one so I guess I've just come full circle :coffeedrink:

Back on Topic with some wildlife from the back yard
