employed the simple plan - bend the 1/8" steel to match the angle foe the fenders - plasma cleaned the fender edge then bolted the steel to the original mounts - bolted the fenders to the steel - needs a couple of more bolts and paint next...

Don't worry about the thread hi-jacking......It was my question in my trailer build!

Thanks for the infor!

Looks great.....

Not to sure what i want to do.....I like the rubber idea....Just in case i need to rub a tree vs. messing up one of my nice fenders....Its up in the air....

I'll get some pictures of the trailer behind the tow rig tomorrow!

^Bolts...It comes with a clip bolt type of fastening system. I would rather bolt it then use rivets. Just in case i decide to do something else.

255/85/16's

Well.....I got a new 255 coming and found a used 255 on craigslist!

I'm going to use my brand new spare off my truck and the new one for the trailer! The used one coming will replace the spare on the truck!

Did a google search and this add came up on the second pg!

I'm all set! Fresh set for the trailer and a good used spare!

Very nice trailer. I am at a crossroads with my M416. It is all stock except for the lights and I can't bring myself to cut a tailgate in it. I'd like to build it up as there are 5 of us and a Chocolate Lab in the family.

I'm probably going to put a spare tire mount from a pickup under it for a spare tire and some can mounts as one of the first mods.

I need to get the right hitch with the right drop!

Lots to do:

  • Wire for brakes
  • Wire truck w/ brake controller
  • Fenders????
  • shocks!
  • Lid
  • Fix tailgate
  • Bedliner (Herculiner)
  • And the list goes on.....

.....Somehow it looks bigger than the truck now...

It would be a sad day if my trailer out wheeled my truck.......

I don't think so........Airbags for the future though.
