I suspect a record deal, a divorce, and a bankruptcy court... or at least two of the three... are somehow involved in this vehicle's sad story.

it would of been nice to get and bring it back to original , but G WAGON parts are extremely expensive , if even can be found used, it took me about 3 weeks to find a used grill and front bumper for my brothers 2006. dealer prices are true the roof, bumper was over 1000 + so i found a European model front bumper 350 bucks with 4 extra holes on top, i guess it was for head light washers or brush guard ? so we had it welded shut and nicely painted , and that did the job,

i am just wondering will it be possible to find full front end parts change over from Europe and bring it to USA? or that's also something that we cant import?

There are a couple suppliers specifically in the US for G parts, but for used stuff to get- relatively- cheaper, there are also a couple folks in close contact with the 'merican crowd over in Germany that service the States. They are also pretty proud of their parts, but they are cheaper than new and G stuff is always stupid expensive.

Thank heavens somebody finally did at least something about the aerodynamics of the G-wagen. Now, if only the guy had also chopped the top a bit, curved out the windsheild, lowered it a bit, and did something about the back end.......

Price is down to $8,000. For anyone looking to build an overlander, this could be a cheap starting place. Needs engine rebuild? Drop in a 300D engine. You can un-crap the body work, give it a paint job, put some 15" or 16" wheels and make a decent 4x4 out of it.

But, for that money, you can also start out with something that doesn't suck like any one of these;

So, perhaps even $8,000 it asking too much...
