WTB: Kids outdoor shoes

My kids outgrow their hiking shoes before they can wear them out. Your's probably do too. Let's make a deal!

My 12 year old son wear's a Men's US 8.5 or 9
My 8 year old daughter wears a US 3.5

We are looking for outdoor sandals or light duty trail runner/hiking shoes for both kids.

Interesting idea... we regularly buy the kids 30-50 dollar shoes and sandals only to be donated or given away 8 months later with little wear on them. It might be interesting to set up an exchange, or a 'Free w/ shipping' deal.

Both of my kids are much smaller than yours, so I am no help, but great idea.

Same here. Kills me to pay $40 plus for a pair of keens only to see them outgrown in two months or less! I have a 2 and 6 year old.

Off topic, but Walmart has knock-off Keen sandals (labeled as 'Ozark Trail') for about $15 / pair.

I have a pair of men's 9's that I got for water aerobics. I've used 'em in chlorine on average three times a week for about 6 weeks so far. The color has changed, but they are holding up well structurally, and they have good support.

I bought mine over in Louisiana. Locally I have only seen kid's sizes.

That is a really good site. Great filter tools to make stuff fast to find. Prices are about what I'd like to avoid though

This weekend I will post up photos of my kids pile-O-shoes that can start the exchange program.
