WTB: RTT

We're looking to try out a RTT to see if we can live with one as part of a new boondocking set-up. If anybody has one for sale within a days drive of Northwestern Pennsylvania please let me know. Brand doesn't really matter, just so it's in good shape. We're not sure if this is the route we want to go, but you don't know until ya try it, right? If we decide we don't like it well you'll see it posted back up soon. We're not in a huge rush but do have a trip the end of April we'd like to try one out on.

Thanks much!

I called REI South side works location to inquire about finding a RTT in Pennsylvania and to see if they stocked or could order one.
The person on the phone never heard of one and I had to explain what it was and sent a link with pictures.

Let me know if you find any extras.

Haggis, you might want to take a look at this thread: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/65164-ARB-PILBARA-TENT-on-sale-now tent.

It isn't used, but I got a really good deal from Nathan and to save on shipping we shipped to the UPS freight terminal in Cannonsburg. If you have a commercial address (somewhere with a dock) you can get commercial shipping.

I haven't had a chance to use ti yet, but it is set up in my garage and seems like a quality tent.

You will love having one Haggis! Especially if you hit that rocky UP again.

I hope so...we just bought one. :ylsmoke:

Hey Mark, Pro Bass Shops are carrying the Tepui brand RTTs (kissing cousins of the Camping Lab) and you can have them shipped to one of the retail stores for free delivery. Of course by the time you drive to the store in Harrisburg, Cincinnati or the one in Maryland you've probably spent the shipping cost in gas, not to mention if you buy in State and pony up the sales tax. If I get any more offers of used RTTs I give you a heads up.

Yeah, I saw that offer from Iron Pig back in August but we hadn't made up our mind which way we were wanting to go with our new canping set-up yet at that time so I let it slide. Thanks for alerting me though, it's appreciated.

My Brother and I are running new Eezi Awn RTT we just got in. I have a 1600 for my JKU and he has a 1400 for his FJ Cruiser. If anyone wants to come and check them out they are more than welcome. We are located just outside of Philadelphia, PA.

I think the Iron Pig deal is as good of a bargain you will find for RTT's. They aren't cheap, seem to have a high resale value, and the market is far from flooded with them. The Iron Pig deal allows you to get the what I would consider a middle tier tent at a lower tier tent price.

We got our RTT from Cascadia Vehicle Tents Reasonable price, seems to be of similar construction as the Camping Lab and Tepui. I'm pretty happy with it, and really looking forward to do getting out there this summer. This will be way better than that old ground tent I had.
