Yes 1" and that's what I have been running for about 120K maybe more. I had initially wanted correct backspaced wheels 4" or so but have yet to do so and continued using the spacers with some vibration if not centered ppperfectly. What a an annoyance little vib. here an there.

Thanks Aaron!

Never heard of a 1" spacer vibration before.....You would think those 2" to 3" would cause problems...

Weird!

I have been long awaiting a pair of whelen TIR6's to come available used (new $100ish ea). I found some on ebay for $40ea. and jumped on them This mod was to an ARB and required some grinding of the original opening top and bottom only. It required bending the old mounting tabs back as to utilize them to hold the new lamp in place, that and a snug fit ensure it won't be going anywhere.

Don't forget the Interco SSR's too, as anyone will tell you it all depends on what you do. If you are crawling on the weekends and don't drive to far to do it then I say go for the SSR's, they will slow your rig and increase your stopping distance but holy crap do they hook up on just about anything.

Cooper STT, great all around tire I used these as my offroad set for some time I would switch wheels and away I go. They were good for more miles than the SSR's and ran a hell of a lot more quiet.

BFG AT's good tire very tough but out of 3 sets and 2 vehicles I always ended up with a square one that couldn't be balanced. I will never buy them again.

Nitto AT. I can only say I love them and have purchased them for 4 vehicles with the same results. Longevity and strength. We are running them on 02 Tahoe, 99 Ram 3500, 05 Taco and my 2nd set on the 02 4Runner. \

To buy will be the cooper stt's again as well as they BFG KM2's as I hear nothing but good things about them from my jeep buddies.

The goodyear MT has it's own following and 50% love em and 50% hate em. I Know of more folks that hate them than love them. They are pretty hard and offer a similar ride. Heck I ROver friend of mine had a 265 on his disco and it rode like crap. They are expensive to boot. unless you were getting an awesome deal I don't know that I would unload a ton of cash on them. They look good no doubt but there are many that look good. Another unit that caught my eye was the Interco M-16 while it has silly bullets on the side the tread looks like it will work well.

Sorry about the crappy pics I fell on my real digital camera and broke it. My new camera is drop proof and somewhat crush proof.

For 2009 I plan a dual battery management system and rear bumper. Equipt 1 sells the National Luna system I plan on using and Irbis Offroad makes the sweet rear bumper I plan to purchase. Also on the list is a new baby due on July 25th and while this is the most expensive mod to my family I'm not aure how it will help my offroad ability, most likely to limit it like four flat tires and a dead battery.

Sound like some good plans. Are you going to have to drop your truck off at Irbis while they build it? I still haven't figured out why no one makes a set 4runner rear bumper that they can just ship you...shrug.

I'm REALLY curious what it took you for the locking hubs on the front axle. Parts & did you do it yourself or hire it out?

Do you notice an increase in fuel mileage or power without having to spin that front diff all the time?

Anything else I should know about it?

Always love seeing your truck! Congrats on the little one!

I was under the impression he built and shipped?
