Any owners on here? I live fairly close to these guys' factory and would love to support local once it comes time to buy. As many of you probably know, the more you look at overlanding trailers, the more you can find almost everything you want in every trailer. This one has it all for me, but the weight is so high compared to everyone else. I found one of these all optioned out on XGrid's website and it was 3500 lbs. They say they are building with all aluminum, so I just don't understand why they are so heavy. I'd be pulling with a 2019 V6 Colorado, so it's not like it's not possible, it's just that most others are going to be 500 lbs or more lighter than this all optioned out. The Voyager base is 2600 lbs where many others are 1900 to 2300 lbs base model. Anyone have one of these and want to tell me why it's so heavy, and if the weight makes a difference for you, or if I'm being too cautious? Maybe there's a specific option that someone noticed adds a lot of weight to the 2600 lb base weight?

Thier website says 4,600 gwr. I alway use this number to compare against towing capacity. Keep in mind to never trust posted weights by manufacturers. The other trailers may not be that much lighter. Or this one could even be heavier. Go down to their shop and confirm dry weight with all the options you want.

Even though thier website says all aluminum construction I believe the chassis is carbon steel as that x ride suspension likely requires a steel chassis. If I am correct this is much heavier then aluminum chassis with a timbren suspension. Plus this trailer is not a stand up and has so many tents, awining and add 9ns that add weight.

Looks like the tounge, hitch and suspension are the only carbon steel in the chassis and the rest is Aluminum. But these steel aspects are really beefy and look very heavy. Hope they consider potential Galvanic corrosion mixing aluminum and steel in the chassis.

Great point, I forgot about that possibility. Is that your video I just watched on playing with sticks? I think I already spoke about trail marker with you on another post a few months ago. But seriously, the only thing wrong with those trail markers for me would be the fact that they still don't seem to be taking orders, which is kudos for them like the video said. Seriously, these beat out the Antishanty trailers I was even considering as well. Bathroom inside and all aluminum. The kitchen on the Voyager is pretty tough to beat, but not for 3500 lbs. I love how custom they seem to be willing to be as well, important to me. I hope our time frames cincide with their taking orders and my being ready to order. Also the aluminum cabinets with compression latches, and the aviator switches, that whole vibe is spot on with what I'm going for.

Yes I hear you Chuck i am frustrated they have not started taking orders. I feel like I am alone on an island with mine. That is me in the Playing with Sticks video. Kind of embarrassing. My kids tease me about it all the time. The reason they are not taking orders is because thier commercial trailer division is booming. Likely be this spring. I will keep you informed. If you ever want to look at mine let me know. It is unique and not quite as ,let's say polished, as the Voyager and others so you might want to see it before you commet to waiting to order one.

I may take you up on that, maybe when the time is right and I'm at the point of making a decision officially. What state do you live in? I saw quite a bit that I liked in the video, and I like that look more than I do the Voyager, actually. The only thing I wonder if they'd do is be willing to customize some of the wall colors? I actually don't like even the look of wood (most people like the warmth) I like an industrial/tech feel. If I was to go with wood wallpaper it would be similar to yours, but I'm hoping they'd work with me on that. Anyway I will talk to you again when we get closer. I think seeing yours would help a lot.

I will message you thru this portal. The stik wood is a very expensive option so you will save if you don't choose it. There are a few colors to choose from on the frp side walls. They did tell me they are going to limit some of the options that my trailer has.
