The last few pics from the Lava bed's.

Also, routed through Antelope. A tiny forgotten town that has some of the most historical significance in Oregon. Look it up, or watch " wild wild Country" on Netflix.

Pics got a little mixed up there posting from my phone.

Also, some goats at a gas station in shaniko. I still had a 1/2 tank, but I've not seen gas station goats since SA and it really drew me in. Haha

Just grazing outside it. The lady who owns it was super nice invited me in for some coffee and a nice chat by the fire. Also, probably the most expensive gas I've ever gotten. It's also the only station for at least 50 miles each direction, and a good spot for one.

Stopped along the Mighty Columbia River last night.

I will add some pictures of the tribal fishing platforms along the river. They are quite sketchy I'd say, but they work.

Not supposed to get above freezing until about 10, so it'll be a slow morning.

Enjoyed a slow relaxed morning, until it warmed up a little. Truck and camper are doing great, it may not look it but it's actually been in the teens.

The remote reservoir Icons are awesome. Airbags still working great, although they look pretty bad. I keep hitting them with rubber conditioner a few times a year.

Took a shower in the camper, and pulled clothes from the hampers and threw them in a duffle for when I got home.

As promised: here are the shots of the fish platforms.:

The columbia is lined with Treaty Access fishing spots for the tribe(s). This was one of them, outside Rufus Oregon. The spots are on ioverlander. This specific park, was owned by Corps Or Engineers, and donated to the county. However the county does not have the funds to keep it up. But they do what they can.

Life with out my dog, especially when doing these things has been bothering me. I miss him, he was pretty much my best friend. A friend recommended I sniff everything I can, and pee on the rest in honor of him. Haha

Also, an image of the Mountain House advice of the day.

That’s really cool that you included good, clear pictures of the interpretive signage.
Thx for sharing that interesting info.
I always try to when I can, I'm one of those people who has to read the signs, so I'm there anyway. And this helps for those who aren't, or can't, or would like to visit some of these places someday. It makes me smile you enjoy that.

It's also multi purpose. I Cross post the pics in my social media for family, and w/ Google as well as a Google guide.

I'm home again now,

The last day, I tried to visit the Observatory in Goldendale WA, but it was close due to c-19. They have recently re done it and it's supposed to be pretty awesome.

So I turned around and headed for home, it was pretty hard to not just point toward MT Adams and go....

I usually stop at Little StoneHenge a few times to pay my respects to those we have lost. KIA,MIA,POW.

It was a beautiful day to drive home on the 2 lane Washington side windows down

And also, a picture of the Dutch Harbor Runway, one of the reasons it's such a rough flight.

Dutch Is not an ugly place for sure, the pilots hate that runway though. Just last year they had two planes go down on it, one ending up nose in the water, another overshot and ended up sinking into the bay.

I saw this short takeoff competition on youtube the other day. Just crazy... Those bush pilots are nuts, landing on what amounts to a sidewalk cut into deep forest

Wow!!!! That's crazy, there have been times I thought " where's the strip" and they land anyway. I think for some of those pilots its 50% skill and 50% crazy haha

Another short contract, " Run the Rock" day 1, a 23 and 50 mile trail running race.

Cold, snowy, windy, rainy.

About 160ish participants for day 1, started with a 3:30am alarm, and will probably be on site until 21:00 or so,

And repeating tomorrow at a different site 30 mins down the road.

Really tempted to just pop the top here and try crashing after everything is loaded, I'll be gone before first light...
