4 inch Eternabond tapped almost all the seams. Should not have to think about it again, for some time.

I use the same stuff on the fiver I full time in.

Finally finished, that troublesome electric valve replacement. I am so glad that's done.

I re did the wallpaper, it's not perfect, but for doing it solo in a small space it'll do. 1/2 way through I figured out it was easier to use painters tape to hold it, and actually go over the edging and trim w/ a razor.

I'll upload some wide angle before and after, once I get the akaso pics downloaded.

The pup, helping..

My T stat quit Friday night when I got to Bend.

As the temps called for 20's, I was glad I had the BigBuddy and even small electric heater had I needed. It's so good to have redundancy.

The T stat, was pretty much new. But once I jumped the terminals she started right up, so I knew that was it.

Had a earlyish morning the next day for a contract with King of the Kastle, a 200 mile off-road race. Got to home Depot at 6 when they opened and put a new one in. A digital Honeywell, battery powered one. It was actually cheaper than the RV one I was replacing. Works great so far.

You guys ever make things way harder than they need to be?

I've been trying to figure out a better system for my shower curtain. Since the wall folds for the top, normal rods are a no go.

Tried command hooks, Velcro, bungee straps, closing it in the window and door.

Anyway, I remembered how on the ship we used paracord for all sorts of stuff,

Solved...simple was the answer.
2 eyelets and some cord

Ummm, yeah. I just did that on the camper I am building. I should have made it a slide in from the beginning. Argh!

$50, ouch. Next time buy tile snips. They work just as well and only $8.
Will the tile snips crimp the pex connections?

It does the crimp on the sides but does not do the crimp on top. I have never needed the crimp on the top. So I guess my solution may not be advisable for a highly important, costly, or hard to get to item.

The first time I remember doing this is about ten years ago on some pressureized cooling water lines on my boat. So far still holding.

Great thread.
just read through.

Curious about the bottom, did you just repaint or put new wood?
We looked at the same model a week ago and the bottom wood was pretty deteriorated from years of sitting in the truck. I was thinking to replace it, but was worried the entire basement would drop out.
Funny also is the one we looked at, the electrical valves for the black and grey water drain had burnout also.

We have two kids and the bunk and toilet feature is a huge plus.

I covered the entire bottom with a rubber coating, flex seal. Then I took 3/4 inch ply thats 8 inches or so wide and cut it to be about a 1/2 wider than the tub.

And then coated everything again with flex seal.

The entire camper is built floating off that floor, so to pull it and replace it would be a huge project.

The electric valves had a bit of trouble. I dont think they use them anymore.

Also, Thank you!!
