Nice one Lucky j,
I love my fresh coffee in the morning. I use a coffee percolator on the stove or camp fire, but that looks like one step up in sophistication. One thing I have not found yet is a decent quality hand cranked coffee grinder.

I'm using the one from GSI. Ceramic and doesn I cup at the time. Little work, but just make the coffee better. I even use it to grind oatmeal for my crepe.
One draw back, it is not efficient on water usage, since most of the water remain after you got your cup and milk ready. You have to plan for it if you need to carry all your water in dry area.

Nice one!

Specialy since " The job is not done until every thing is down on paper!"

Old chinese mantra. ;)

With that I am good for a few days"camping" on the river.
Most appreciated is my day pack as well. It goes everywhere with me. I never forget or loose anything important. The phone, keys and wallet are always safe and it holds a jacket and food in it. Grab one bag everytime no matter what outdoor activity and your coverd for all the basics. I even strapped firewood and a nice step stool I found in the woods to it.

For me, my most appreciated piece of camping equipment is not one, but two...

1) My wife, who usually goes with me, but who does not complain when we out and supports me if I go alone

2) My 60 Series, it takes and has taken me to so many great places and experiences

Both are capable and willing partners, what more do we really need?

We have a two person one. They sell several on Amazon called Picnic back packs. Yes agreed we use ours also but upgraded all the inners to higher quality stuff. The bag is really the big value.

For me its my edgestar fridge, I only paid $380 shipped over 4 years ago and its 100% paid for itself in all the money saved not buying ice.

And oh how nice it is when your camping on a cold night and you dont have to stick your hand into a tub of ice water :wings:

Actually, I was thinking about this more, and the one gadget I seem to use on every trip is the most marvelous knife/spatula ever invented. It's the Cutco Spatula Spreader knife:

Incredibly sharp, slices through food packaging super easy. Large enough and sharp enough to carve up watermelon. Balanced superbly, easy to manipulate for fine cutting such as dicing tomatoes or onions, and makes cutting up sausages and so forth super easy. It even works for spreading butter on toast :)

My roof top tent hands down. It's opened made camping a entirely different experience. We want to go more, do more, see more all because of it. If it broke, got stolen or wore out, I'd go buy another tomorrow.
