1987 4Runner- Expedition Build Up.

Just loaded the truck up, for the six of us!:Wow1: !!! to go camping out at the LBJ National Grasslands. Decided to go and pack within the hour.:wings:

So tell me again why you want to get rid of it? It's already well built, perfectly capable, parts widely available and you already the workings of it very well, as well as the behavior of it. It has plenty of seating, plenty of cargo room and the only thing you are worried about is getting in and out of two doors?
 
Because I'm bored with it...:ylsmoke: I've only had like 20 vehicles since I was 15...

Oh and not being able to do 55 in a 70mph zone, in a head wind with the junk on the roof...

Gearing solves a lot of that.

I just swapped a set of factory 4.88 thirds/diffs into my 1988 4runner IFS this weekend. I paid $50 for the front and traded an extra 4:10 V6 pickup complete rear axle for the 4.88 4runner rear axle because the guy wanted to re-gear to 5.29 and he had a truck. I run 33x10.50 BFG KM2's and the gearing is perfect, and the performance is night and day to the 4:10's.
