Can anyone confirm how talll and how long (tip to tip) the Compact and Basecamp trailers are? We're trying to see if we can help out another Expo member in Prescott and get a 5th on the same truck.

Are they both really 6 feet tall? and only a foot difference in length?

Thanks.

I believe the Basecamp is right at 12 ft long x 6 ft tall.

Here are some pics that I took yesterday when I met with Dean. I was not able to get specific pics of each persons trailer as there were many there however you can see what he has available. Most of these will be gone by months end!

A few of the demo Basecamps:

Just measured the length of my basecamp - 141"
(measured from the tip of the tongue to the back of the rear kitchen box

width as measured at the widest (main box is 48" with each side boxe at 12.5") - 73"

height from floor to top of rack - 72"

Compact is 10.5' long, 6' tall, 6' wide ---- as a virgin. After you open and use the tent a few times it poofs up a bit and starts to get taller...

to all the new owners of Conqueror trailers there is a Yahoo group for the owners... while portal is my main computer porn... it is nice to have a brand specific place to ask questions. I would prefer all general trailer mods etc. stay on Portal, but the other is a nice quick way to ask questions....

just FYI

FYI- ANY ONE LOOKING AT A CONQUEROR COMPACT OR BASECAMP

I just had a chat with Dean and if everyone that has committed to a compact were to forward their deposit, then they would all be gone.
However, if you have committed and have not forwarded deposit, he is considering them fair game for anyone paying immediately.

As of today, there are one Base Camp demo left and two demo Compacts left. The demos on the Compacts have the following issues, 1 has a small tear in the rip stop tent fabric (a patch would fix it) and the other has a small place worn in the floor from where it was on display on concrete and the wind shuffled the tent to the point that it wore a thin place in the floor. (again ... a patch would fix this).

The demo on the Base Camp is dirty. (just needs a good washing)

That said, he says that there are a half dozen spoken for with no deposits. He will sell those if money is not sent. Once these are gone, ... they are gone.

His warehouse has to be emptied by next Friday, so if you have spoken with him and are on the fence, ...

I have no dog in this fight. I simply feel for Dean because of the economy and the uncertainty of the economy. It sucks for him that he has had to resort to a fire sale.

I bought the second to the last demo Basecamp this morning  The price was just too good to pass up. :wings:

I'm pretty sure I'm going to sell my M101CAD now, if anyone near Michigan is interested.

I don't know, I pitched camp alot faster in my pre-trailer days. Don't get me wrong, the trailer hauls alot of comfort, but if speed is what you need, you can't beat backpack style camping out of a vehicle.

:wings: ha! I used to get out of bed a lot faster too!

From my perspective, the benefits (which are many) primarily allow for me to not share camp with a 40' battleship of an RV . . .
