Console is built, just need to decide what it's going to be covered or coated with. The pic with the old console sticking out gives an idea on how much volume this will afford us.

that is an awesome box. i think it be cool if it was coated but to match the rest of the interior, it should be wrapped/covered
how is the lid on the factory box? i need a new one with the arm since mine is missing...

Funny. I just decided to ditch my center console/ heater as well. I thought about a generic store bought version, but yours looks great. Might go that route.

That centre console is looking pretty slick. Good work!

I might have to try and make something up to replace my rickety old console now.

You can definitely make one more functional, but keep in mind that mine is much wider than stock thanks to a couple things. One, the seat belt latches are now mounted on the seats(original mounting spot for the TC seats), and not on the floorboards. If you keep them in the factory configuration, it will limit your base width. Two, When I mounted the TC seats, I had the console in my plans, so I mounted the seats as far outboard as possible. You can do the same with factory seats to gain space, but otherwise, your width will be limited.

I might be a little SOL then....I'm not exactly a small person, so in this small vehicle I need all the room I can spare for my butt.

I still like what you've done!

great job on your center console! Much more sophisticated that mine. I just used a 40mm ammo can. installed a hinge, and a lock and bolted it in. Even left it green :D

It made it the trip from NC to Colorado last month with only a couple snags. I had to put a fan clutch in while going through Jackson TN, and a transmission clutch while in Albuquerque NM.

The trip was a success. My wife, daughter, dog, and I all really enjoyed it. The trip has us looking forward to the next trip wherever it takes us.

Very nice! I love the graphics on the truck. It sets it off. How did the truck do at higher elevation?

I have seen this truck in person, and the pictures don't do it justice. I'd love a project like this, If I had the time and space to play with it.

The loss of power was noticeable. I came from 900ft elevation, and at 12000ft+ it was more than I expecting. It started becoming more and more evident over 7000. Hindsight 20/20 I would have adjusted the timing, but I think a timing light was the one tool I didn't bring.

I installed the 4.7 t-case, and twin stick last week. Makes slow speed traversing of obstacles much easier.
The twin stick allows me to have the hubs locked at the trailhead, and use 2wd low range, but only use the locked front when necessary.
