Minor update on mine. I installed a set BFG KM2's in 33x10.50x15. I haven't had much time to do anything with it lately.
Monday, I'll be taking it out for a trail ride at Uwharrie National Forest.

I had pushed the 4runner to the back burner last year, but have now become motivated again. It was in desperate need of paint, and rust repairs. I decided to go away from the original color, and add a little pizzazz. I've been stripping everything down, and will go front to back. Not sure on the quarters if I'm going to patch them, or replace with with metal or fiberglass bedsides.

I gave my wife and three year old daughter the task of picking the final color. Luckily its not going to be pink.Instead, it will be sporting a VooDoo blue (very very close to it anyway) coat when its completed.

One of my customers has a Toyota graveyard. Lucky for me he had a 4runner with perfect bedsides. So i spent yesterday with my pal Sawzall separating them from the donor. I am going to POR 15 the insides before the replacement. I have also acquired new OEM front fenders, 2 used doors with zero rust, and used liftgate with zero rust, black door handles, and black grille. Now its time to go back out and cut the rock rails off to get ready for skin transplant. The springs in the bed of my truck are Chevy 63's that will be going on the 4runner after the body is done.

I've been working on it, and getting closer every little bit.
Hoping to have it sprayed the end of next week. The replacement quarters are being coated with POR 15 before welded then, liberally applied seam sealer at all junctions.

What kind of fender flares are those ? The kind you had on before the fenders cut and paste ... I have a unmolested t4r and want some fender flares to replace that nasty oem chrome trim around wheel wells. I thought of bushwhacker but I like the ones you have more.

I've still got mine. Not sure if they are going back on or not when its done.

They should be available at any of places online that sell the bushwacher lines.

I've made a ton of progress, and hope to finish spraying it tomorrow. Once the quarters were installed, we welded up the holes where the clips for the chrome decorative strip used to run on the rockers. I did this for two reasons. One, I didn't like the strips, and secondly was to prevent additional water from entering and contributing to rust. All the inners have been POR15'd, seam sealed, and then coated with "lizard skin". Lizard Skin helps with noise, thermal, and as another rust barrier.

Paint looks awesome! The paint reminds me of the "Cosmo" Blue that can be found on the Jeep JK/JKUs.
