I have had 8 trucks/cars myself. Actually, only one car (currently a 94 Subaru Legacy sedan) and the rest trucks/suv's.
1. 87 4Runner with the 22RE and a 5 speed. Bought from my parents who later traded it in out from under me (sorta) for #3 on the list.
2. 84 Ranger with the 2.0 liter and a 4 speed. Traded it for #4
3. 72 Bronco that I "bought" with my dad (though I had no idea that was the plan at the time). Had the old 302 with a 3 on the tree that we rebuilt, and before doing body work we eventually traded in on a Mustang for my mom.
4. 87 Wagoneer XJ with the 4.0 and an auto. Out of all the rigs I have had, this one I miss the most. It was the first vehicle I bought with my own money, and I ended up selling it for some stupid reason.
5. 92 Ranger XLT 4.0 auto. Still have it, though I haven't really driven it in years. It broke down in 2007 and I rebuilt it last year, but it needs a little more work. Have been thinking of selling it, but I love it.
6. 95 Ram 1500 single cab short bed with a 318 and a 5 speed. My favorite rig I ever had. The 4WD didn't work for the first 8 months I had it (which just happened to be the worst winter I have ever driven in), and once I did get it to work, it went absolutely everywhere I asked it to go, and it did everything I asked it to do. Unfortunately, it wasn't big enough for me at the time so I found the Chevy.
7. 05 Silverado 1500 ECSB 4 door. Build thread here. I plan on keeping this one for a long time. It's limited in what it can do, but I have decided to limit myself on what I really need out of the wants I have of it. I do plan on doing a few more things to it, but for the most part it is done. Almost 100,000 miles on it, and over 70K I have put on myself. Great truck!
8. 94 Legacy Sedan. A gift from my sister, as I had been looking for a commuter car, and she just inherited our mothers older Outback when she herself got a newer one. I have yet to drive it regularly as it's not insured and it needs a few things done to it. Almost 300K on the clock, and it still runs great!
If I ever get another rig, I will probably get another XJ. But, I plan on doing a few more things to the Silverado that will make it a better rig for what I want to do, so there really isn't a need. However, I do plan on getting a newer Legacy at some point for a commuter car and leaving it alone. I have never been a fan of cars as far as a project, but I really like the Legacy sedans.
