Dan did that include bushes and ubolts? Dave from atw had some interesting ideas on how he high mounted his turbo by reversing the manifold I'd be interested in seing some photos. You still working on a turbo?

No it didn't include bushes and u bolts. I'm still working on a turbo but haven't had much time to do a lot more. I'd also be interested in seeing photos of that setup.

Dan.

you may need to disconnect the bottom of the shocker to measure the compressed length correctly, also measure the bottom bush width and bolt hole in the shocker.

Dave was great help thanks john......................Was annoyed to hear how his wife loves the truck, where do you people find these women!!

Any woman that can navigate a rally car for a weekend with Dave at the wheel deserves a medal....riding in the front of their Canter would be holiday for her.

Glad to hear he was able to help.

My wifes first reaction to the truck was "I hope no one sees me in this", luckily she was drowned out by our eldest screaming with delight " we've got the biggest car in the world!"

does she drive it?
the dragon was somewhat unsure about our canter until she took it for a spin
she was amazed how great it was that people just move out of your way
you also don't get pedestrians stepping out in front of you
not sure if its the truck or her driving

Unfortunately the truck is not derated but she has driven it on l's only she clipped a curb with the dual's rounding a turn with no load on the tray and you can guess what happened. I'll keep working on her, got another 32 years till retirement. Might have brought her round by then.

A tip for young players
don't de rate your truck
instead get the missus to get her licence
all she'll need is a HR or MR and you can teach her to drive
never know when you might need the carrying capacity

I know plenty of "wives" who permanently drive on a learners permit.....husbands in the truck of course. Yeah like Stu says, don't derate the truck for the sake of a truck license.

Part of my original sales pitch was the 2 ton carrying capacity..I'm still not confident that its enough judging by the amount of stuff we took last time we went camping in the Daily driver.

yes but how much stuff did you use

Tip for young players #2
take half of what the wife packs and put it back in the house
she still wont use all of it
like I say to the dragon - "just how many feet do you have to warrant packing all those shoes"
just in case we go out she says - you wont be going anywhere if I have to pack all that cr*p
tried to get her to go commando in the bush (saves on washing) didn't work :wings:

We have man camping and wife camping. I think the father in law used up all her camping humor when she was young. Sa west coast to cape York, 6 in a 60 series and he had a competition to ser who could pack the lightest. And I think they did it in 2 weeks via birdsville!
