My springs were ordered back in early June along with the kit/axle that I've been staring at out in the garage - hoping to see them soon so i can dig into the De-Quig project the next few weeks

in retrospect, i guess mine got here kinda quickly....ordered early July, everything on hand end of august.....

Good! Normal build time is ~ 6 weeks. Maybe I need to slow down my ship times from us so guys aren't so anxious to get started!

He blasted out a few sets of springs Friday, said more would be leaving Monday.

headlight wiring

among the things i've got going for the van at the moment is a conversion to the composite headlights i picked up off ebay about a week ago. Kinda naively thought it'd be a plug and play but looks like i've got some splicing to do. Does the EXPO brain trust have any guidance for me on this one?
in other news, i think i found my lower u-bolt plate in a bucket....

Blame it on taking the axle apart 3 months ago and not really knowing what's what....

and if you haven't picked one of these yet, you need to.

to date i've removed 4 bolts and 2 screws and i'm already in love with it.

getting the sterling in

progress. i was concerned that the rear leafs had "closed up" a bit and i'd have to figure a way to pry them wider but when i swung one side up into position it was only about an inch or two short. Grandpa's come-along did the rest.

a bit of rolling, some cursing and bolting and......

Since you guys know everything.....for real.
Anyone have an idea for the torque values you use on the bolts which hold the t-case adapter housing (part which allows the 5r110 to accept the NV271)?
AND any idea of the part number for t-case to transmission bolts? Napa guys looked at me like "no fuggin way we can get those" and they usually don't.

The adapter to t-case hardware # from Ford is N605804-S100. Thats a pack of 4, you need 6 total so 2 packs.

For torque you won't be able to get a torque wrench up there so tighten by hand.
