Taking diesel converted Rover out of the country

I'm one of "those" people. I have experience importing "returning"vehicles from Europe via ship. They inspect the truck for contraband and clear it for "re-entry". I love when these threads start and people with zero experience quote the letter of the law.

Sorry if I struck a personal chord there . . . Yes. I do have "zero experience," that's why I am seeking experiences from those who have done this . . . Got a problem with the law . . . take it up with the federal gov., not me . . . We've all got to deal with it, though . . .

My wealth of (or lack of) personal experience does not matter. It seems to me that whatever myself or anyone else posts, you just disregard it immediately and re-state your same argument.

AxeAngel is right, when you get serious about doing a diesel swap, then I would guess you will have people willing to help you out with answers. Until then, you are that kid in junior high school that sits in the front row and goes, "but what if......?"

If you are answering my question that's fine, if your aren't then I guess I'll have to keep asking it . . . So . . .

Any out there have any personal experiences of exporting/importing their diesel converted Rover? I'm not trying to call you out on your choice to convert, or moral issues, etc. I'm just trying to find out if there have been any problems with this . . . :snorkel:

Don't know who "Doug" is, I'm afraid.

This is Doug...reading comprehension must not be one of your strong points...

Well . . . if I am the kid in the front row asking "what if . . ., " then we've also got the kids in the back row giggling going as well . . . :) So, any one else want to weigh in on this with some personal feedback? No one else has taken their converted Rover overseas?

P.S. I'm only this patient because I have been a parent for the last eleven years, and I teach for a living, yes . . . college, but believe me, patience is needed there sometimes too . . . :)
