How much heat is being generated by the electrical installation? how often will you need to access the PV isolator? can you live with reduced storage in this area, in order to provide sufficient air flow for cooling to the electrical installation?

I avoided "cupboards".
Most storage is in boxes. Things in cupboards move around. Things in boxes stay in boxes.
You can have anything behind or alongside the box.

I would have thought that blanking off that area would obscure the access to your PV isolator, which kind of negates its purpose.

My thought was to use a router and carefully cutout a tight hole so the "face" of that switch was accessible.
I could use "stand offs" so the false panel is spaced away from the wires. But those who use the cabinet for kitchen item storage would not interfere by accident with anything .
And create template with cardboard as a first step.

I’ll start with a winch tray in steel. The NPR comes with plastic bumpers, so those go in the trash.
Then fabricate bumper brackets so the winch is in the correct position.
The last older series of the Isuzu FTR comes with a nice steel rugged bumper.
