Below is a picture of a cabinet above the sink in the kitchen. I would like to store some kitchen items here. As you will see this cabinet has many wires traveling from the roof solar panels.

Does anyone have a suggestion how I can fabricate a false back panel to allow a compartment for the wires, while isolating space for kitchen items.

Any suggestions, pics, ect?

How much heat is being generated by the electrical installation? how often will you need to access the PV isolator? can you live with reduced storage in this area, in order to provide sufficient air flow for cooling to the electrical installation?

I don't see heat, but can cut ventilation slots in whatever is fabricated.

I would have thought that blanking off that area would obscure the access to your PV isolator, which kind of negates its purpose.

Good point

My thought was to use a router and carefully cutout a tight hole so the "face" of that switch was accessible.

I could use "stand offs" so the false panel is spaced away from the wires. But those who use the cabinet for kitchen item storage would not interfere by accident with anything .

And create template with cardboard as a first step.

Personally, I would not feel all that comfortable placing any significant electrical equipment in a location that could potentially get wet, but as I have said on numerous occasions... it's your build.

Nothing 1 inch from the ceiling gets wet

Look, nice idea in picture below (not mine)

Front bumper ideas

I’ll start with a winch tray in steel. The NPR comes with plastic bumpers, so those go in the trash.

Then fabricate bumper brackets so the winch is in the correct position.

The last older series of the Isuzu FTR comes with a nice steel rugged bumper.

Will analyze the fit

Horseshoe shaped dinettes.
(seating / dining areas)
Many habitats have them including mine.
Does anyone have pictures where the design was outstanding?
Are they all exactly the same?

I'm spacing my subframe and truck frame with a non metal spacer.

So when there is movement, there is less of a frame slap when the subframe returns to the truck frame.

Maybe on your build that is the case, but that is definitely not the norm. Most spring mounted subframes have no fixed points.

I might not fix any points - I did see one with bump stops on youtube

Just a limit on subframe travel close to the truck cab
