Great info here on this thread.
About 5 years ago I went on an amazing trip through Utah and Nevada with some other 80 series cruisers. One of us had an auxiliary tank. Guess what, he could only go as far as the guy with the least amount of gas. That was an interesting observation. We...
I purchased a few biolites a couple years ago. Two had little solar panels to recharge during the day. They actually worked pretty well and then one day they just stopped. They were sealed up so I wasn't able to replace the rechargeable batteries. So I purchased another. It did the same...
OK you all got me.... now I'm finding myself looking at snow peak gear all the time! Just purchased the portable fire pit. That thing is really great!!! Then, had to pick up a kitchen utensil bag and hey, why not pick up a hand made fork and spoon as well.
I have a used James Baroud Space Evo roof top tent for sale in High Point, North Carolina.
I purchased this tent new around 2016 (was told this was the first shipment in the states). This has been an exceptional tent and I have used it over 100 nights.
This tent has lived on top of my Land...
I have often wondered about a standard tent on the roof, just need a platform for it to secure too. I'm not so sure about that one to be honest! Looks a little flimsy in my opinion. I have slept in some serious weather and winds with my RTT.
I have had one of these for a long time and it works wonderfully!! The only thing different with mine is that it does not have the mesh filter. I just carry a pack of paper filters with me.

I have successfully run a standard crock pot one weekend at the beach. Just FYI, I had 120W solar panels out in full sun all day long and run a dual battery system. I had the crock put plugged into my power inverter. Had it on low and cooked a pork butt all day long resulting in some...
I usually leave my stove out from the night before with a small SS kettle, a collapsable REI coffee drip. Get up in the morning, put a filter in the drip, boil water, plug in the coffee grinder into the power inverter, grind beans, put grinds into drip, pour-over and enjoy! Super simple and...
I've had pretty good luck with the foodSaver from Costco! Every once in a while I will get a bag that doesn't seal completely, but that is probably 10% of the time. Love having this thing though.
My last big trip that lasted about 3.5 weeks, I ran a fridge and then ran my other fridge in...
I don't think paying for the premium subscription would have fixed the pixelated cache of maps you are describing. But it does allow access to a ton more maps and features. I just upgraded to premium a few weeks ago. I've been using Gaia for a couple of years now and have really enjoyed it...
I've taken one trip with them so far and have another one planned starting tomorrow.
So far the only negative I see is that it's a lot easier to waste water. Since you have a rechargeable spigot that pumps water out and it's so seamless and easy, I found that I used more water than I...
I just pulled the trigger on two new dometic water containers with their rechargeable spigot. It's a game-changer! I love them.

jumping in here....
Just got back from a camping trip. Woke up this morning and the fridge was off. At first I thought I had a dead battery but that was not the case, still showing 12.8V back at the plug outlet. Getting 12.8V all the way through the plug, so I know I'm getting power to the...
sorry to hijack this thread, but I was messing with my victron charge controller and can't see where the lead acid setting is? I am running one of the group 31 lead acid deep cycle from Costco (interstate battery).
There are AGM, lithium and several others, but none say lead acid? I am...
