Post pictures of your Land Rover.

Love those wheels. Replacement bolts aren't too hard to source from Atlantic British-but since you are missing the little front part I'd suggest reaching out to one of the folks that are parting them out and just get pricing for the plate and a whole bunch of used bolts. I mean, if you are...

    LR3/4 Elec Power Management Charger/Dual Batt/Solar Suggestions

Mine is underhood; Coyote has her own (underhood as well). They are cheap enough that it is worth it just to install it as such. For awhile I'd hang the cord out of the front bumper, eventually I fitted NOCO's flush mount. Not the most elegant overall but I'm happy enough with it.

    LR3/4 Elec Power Management Charger/Dual Batt/Solar Suggestions

I'm running the NOCO 2 bank (8 amp) setup. To your question above, it has leads that run to each battery-something I prefer. I acknowledge the traxide will charge both from a single entry point but I prefer it going direct to both. Ironically, when I throw a solar panel onto the truck I'll...

    LR3/4 Elec Power Management Charger/Dual Batt/Solar Suggestions

As you know I have been pretty happy with my NOCO setup hitting both the Odyssey Aux and basic duralast gold starter in concert with traxide. I don’t pay a lot of attention to it; it just all works pretty well with no issues that aren’t self inflicted. R- Ray Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Also at the trail head Izzy discovered his LC’s tire had a near miss when the valve stem was mangled. So we got to it, I just laugh bc 80 series...hood up and being worked on (not really...) With the spare on we went back to UORTC for the night. The wife busted out the Kestrel 5500 to play...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Life and times of LR ownership continue. Tailgate got stuck, closed. So that joy of a job was conducted. AB’s kit for it does make for a simple job once you get it open. If your truck is getting on and it hasn’t been replaced... So we missed VOR which was very sad, but when the chance to hit...

Looking for an '06+ LR3 with HD package...

^ This. The HD is nice, but far from essential for the vast majority.

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Truck was weeping coolant fm water pump so I opted to have my local mech do that, belts, t-stat/t-stat housing/hoses since the coolant was being drained anyway. Discovered all this after a driveway oil change So parts were ordered. Now of course the tailgate won’t open...awesome. More parts...

    Front Wheel Bearings

D1 bearings aren't too hard and are a good hands on thing to do. Once you do it once it's a skill that can come in handy throughout the life of servicing the truck.

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

A valid question, and certainly one of the things we considered as we looked at hard vs soft shells. Having only limited time in the tent thus far, with only one night being in a light rain, I don't have an experience base to make a judgment. Yet. I'm hoping to fix that this fall. Initial...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Quite so, a brass T went on shortly after arrival in Abu Dhabi a few months after buying the truck. That’s one of the first mods everyone should make, either deliberately or the truck will help you make it an unscheduled replacement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Life takes some twists that's for sure. Florence hung up AWFA. Some medical issues stopped VOR-which is truly sad. So I changed the oil today while fiddling with some other stuff, amidst that I noticed that the water pump appears to be weeping a little coolant down the front of the engine...

    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

I was struck by this picture given the discussion about serious world travelers. https://expeditionportal.com/driving-in-russia/

    Discovery 3 (LR3) and Discovery 4 (LR4) Registry

It is definitely optimal, from our initial tests-for us. I say that b/c to be transparent for others there are considerations to account for-this is optimized for what you describe. Ease of use, gas mileage, etc. It also works b/c we're short...if we weren't I think the Autohome in the...

    Discovery 3 (LR3) and Discovery 4 (LR4) Registry

So the weight is prob...#115ish. I saw a variety of numbers when doing research, with the Autohome being the lightest by a stretch and that seems to bear out in terms of our ability to mount it just me and the wife, as well as the fact that COG impact has been minimal. Hell, I’m getting 14mpg...

    GMRS antenna recomendations

So with a small antenna on my MXT-115 (same power as the 275-which is now what the truck runs), I can talk LOS for several miles with a like radio. Several meaning at least 10; but those are unique LOS conditions where my buddy is on one ridgeline and I'm running up the other side of the...

    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

Exactly, clearly we have different real world experiences. My real world experience doesn't care about how they look-rather how they perform given the intended purpose. If we were talking looks alone, I don't think anyone would bring bridging ladders into the discussion unless they wanted...
